A Campaign for Representation

Join us in our effort to do what our Constitution enables us to do as a free and liberated people. And that is, to hold the people elected accountable to “establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity”. Constitutional responsibilities of our elected officials are clear. As Representatives and Senators, they are bound by the Constitution not to socialize our government or support governmental dictates of rights or entitlements that restrict freedom and deny liberties. They are required to support policies for America’s security and independence on energy by formulating an energy policy that would make America self sufficient for it’s energy needs. They are required to represent the people with a fair and equitable tax system, support a conservation policy that promotes American values and interest, not a policy that subordinates America’s sovereignty to a global environmental movement. It is incumbent upon the American People to keep the American Dream of individual freedom and liberty alive. We must reject and defeat an ideology within our government that supports the tenets of Socialism and Marxism.

It Is Time for Tax Reform

The Preamble Patriot meeting held on Saturday April 3rd, highlighted the 16th amendment enabling the federal government to exercise its power and control over the American people. We are not opposed to taxation as a source of revenue for our federal government to function, operate and provide for the security and well being of the nation as it was ordained to do by our Constitution. Prior to the 16th amendment, efforts to enact new methods of taxation were ruled Unconstitutional by the Supreme Court. Let me share, with you, some Historical Highlights on taxation from IRS.gov web site.


  • 1862-President Lincoln signed into law a revenue-raising measure to help pay for Civil War expenses. The measure created a Commission of Internal Revenue and the nation’s first income tax. It levied a 3 percent tax on incomes between $600 and $10,000 and a 5 percent tax on incomes of more than $10,000

  • 1867-Heeding public opposition to the income tax, Congress cut the rate. From 1868 until 1913 90 percent of all revenue came from taxes on liquor, beer, wine and tobacco.
    1872-Income tax repealed.

  • 1894-the Wilson Tariff Act revived the income tax and an income division within the Bureau of Internal Revenue was created.

  • 1895-Supreme Court ruled the new income tax unconstitutional on grounds that it was a direct tax and not apportioned among the states on the basis of population. The income division was disbanded.

  • 1909-President Taft recommended Congress propose a constitutional amendment that would give the government the power to tax incomes without apportioning the burden among the states in line with population. Congress also levied a 1 percent tax on net corporate incomes of more than $5,000.


We acknowledge the need for a taxation system to fund our government. But the current system is archaic, abusive and punitive. According to the US Government Printing Office, Federal Regulations, written by the IRS, and the United States Code, written by Congress, referred to as (Title 26) consist of 20 volumes totaling 14,845 pages, measured by height, it would stand approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall. It is time for a new system of taxation for the American People.
