A Campaign for Representation

Join us in our effort to do what our Constitution enables us to do as a free and liberated people. And that is, to hold the people elected accountable to “establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity”. Constitutional responsibilities of our elected officials are clear. As Representatives and Senators, they are bound by the Constitution not to socialize our government or support governmental dictates of rights or entitlements that restrict freedom and deny liberties. They are required to support policies for America’s security and independence on energy by formulating an energy policy that would make America self sufficient for it’s energy needs. They are required to represent the people with a fair and equitable tax system, support a conservation policy that promotes American values and interest, not a policy that subordinates America’s sovereignty to a global environmental movement. It is incumbent upon the American People to keep the American Dream of individual freedom and liberty alive. We must reject and defeat an ideology within our government that supports the tenets of Socialism and Marxism.

It Is Time for Tax Reform

The Preamble Patriot meeting held on Saturday April 3rd, highlighted the 16th amendment enabling the federal government to exercise its power and control over the American people. We are not opposed to taxation as a source of revenue for our federal government to function, operate and provide for the security and well being of the nation as it was ordained to do by our Constitution. Prior to the 16th amendment, efforts to enact new methods of taxation were ruled Unconstitutional by the Supreme Court. Let me share, with you, some Historical Highlights on taxation from IRS.gov web site.


  • 1862-President Lincoln signed into law a revenue-raising measure to help pay for Civil War expenses. The measure created a Commission of Internal Revenue and the nation’s first income tax. It levied a 3 percent tax on incomes between $600 and $10,000 and a 5 percent tax on incomes of more than $10,000

  • 1867-Heeding public opposition to the income tax, Congress cut the rate. From 1868 until 1913 90 percent of all revenue came from taxes on liquor, beer, wine and tobacco.
    1872-Income tax repealed.

  • 1894-the Wilson Tariff Act revived the income tax and an income division within the Bureau of Internal Revenue was created.

  • 1895-Supreme Court ruled the new income tax unconstitutional on grounds that it was a direct tax and not apportioned among the states on the basis of population. The income division was disbanded.

  • 1909-President Taft recommended Congress propose a constitutional amendment that would give the government the power to tax incomes without apportioning the burden among the states in line with population. Congress also levied a 1 percent tax on net corporate incomes of more than $5,000.


We acknowledge the need for a taxation system to fund our government. But the current system is archaic, abusive and punitive. According to the US Government Printing Office, Federal Regulations, written by the IRS, and the United States Code, written by Congress, referred to as (Title 26) consist of 20 volumes totaling 14,845 pages, measured by height, it would stand approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall. It is time for a new system of taxation for the American People.

Tea or Kool-Aid

For as long as I can remember, I have heard it said that we live in the “Land of Milk and Honey”, and that each citizen should be willing to stand up and fight for the freedoms we each take for granted. Well, the time has come to test the metal of every citizen of this great nation. We are in a crisis, and it seems that the people who should be up in arms are content to let our Politian’s lie to us, line their own pockets and do as they darned well please. We have allowed our elected officials to pass laws which apply to us (the people who put them in office) but exclude them. We have watched them vote themselves pay raises each and every year, with no concern for the welfare of the common man and his plight to survive in an economy they created. We have seen bills passed that do nothing but reward special interest groups who have made campaign donations in exchange for favors. We have seen our Congress pass laws that bail out private companies and banks, in what is laughingly called a capitalist society. We have watched as the pork barrel spending has become so over the top that our grandchildren will be paying for their entire lives for the mistakes we have allowed Congress to get away with. In effect, we have been drinking the “Kool-Aid” that Congress has served us for years. That poison Kool-Aid has caused us to fight class warfare between ourselves and the “wealthy”, caused us to change our social habits because they were not “politically correct”, given us the mind set that we can not buck the system because we only have one vote and caused us to think of what happens in Washington DC as out of our control.

Well, those who fought the British for our freedoms would not have made the sacrifices they made if the had known how little regard we have for the rights and privileges we have been given. Have our backbones turned to jelly? Are we no more than puppets for the people we elect? Do we not understand the consequences of doing nothing to take back the birthright we were given? Are we willing to sit on our collective behinds and let our Government make slaves of us, and allow them to devour the “milk and honey” that belongs to all of us?

There are those of us who are trying to take a stand and let the politicians know we will not tolerate their mishandling of our country any longer. We hold and attend “Tea Parties” to make our opinions known. We email, call and write our Senators and Congressmen to tell them to stop what they are doing and listen to the people. Our numbers are growing, and there may still be a chance we can pull the fat from the fire. But the fight to regain control of the “land of the free” is far from over. We need to make some drastic changes, or what we grew up with will be gone for ever.

As a grassroots effort, we need to repeal the sixteenth amendment and take the purse away from Congress. We need to demand a law be passed requiring all laws to apply equally to all citizens (including Congress). We need to establish Term Limits for both the House of Representatives and the Senate (my suggestion would be a one term limit of six years for both). Although I do not expect it will ever happen, I would like to see a law enacted to force accountability of Congress, if they mislead or out and out lie they go to jail. I am sick to death of the way the people of this country are being treated, and I am asking everyone to make a commitment to change the way Washing DC is being run.

Are we going to continue to “drink the Kool-Aid” or is the time right to make “Tea” the drink of choice? It is true that no one person can change the Government, but together we can and must change our Government before it is too late. If you will not fight for your self, fight for your children and grandchildren. They expect us to leave them the country our Fathers left for us.

This once-great nation is coming apart at the seams. Since the beginning, there has been tension between conflicting ideas and points of view. The genius of the system our founders created is the balance of power within the system that grinds this tension into agreement by the majority before any new proposal can become law.

This wonderful system has survived the rough and tough tumble of political discourse for more than two hundred years. It survived because, despite their differences, the vast majority of Americans were in absolute agreement about the purpose and goals of the government created by the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution. Our founders' purpose and goals are summed up in these words:

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness – that to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed…"

Our forefathers held this belief so firmly that they were willing to risk all they had, including their lives, to remove the dictatorial government that stifled their freedom and prevented the exercise of their belief.

Our forefathers disagreed, bitterly at times, but their shared belief in the fundamental principles of freedom allowed them to find compromises that allowed the continued pursuit of happiness for all parties. Our nation is coming apart at the seams because today, our nation no longer subscribes to the belief system on which this nation was founded.

Perhaps the central point of agreement among the founders was that "just powers" of government derive from the consent of the governed. When the people of America gave their consent to accept the government proposed by our founders, that government was limited to very specific enumerated powers; all other powers were retained by the states or the people.

Only a handful of Americans are aware of these enumerated powers, or where to find them. Today, the federal government is as dictatorial as King George ever was, and those who seek to control government have little respect for the notion that government power arises from the consent of the governed.

Among the factions that want to control government are those who subscribe to the Marxist idea that government should provide equal access to the necessities of life by taking wealth from those who have it, and redistributing it to those who do not. People who accept this notion could not vote to ratify the Constitution were it put before them today. Pressure from these people is a major reason our nation is coming apart at the seams.

Another faction that wants to control government is hyphenated-Americans. These are immigrants who do not want to become Americans, but instead, want America to be subdivided into Black-America; Asian-America; Hispanic-America; Native-America, and the like - where documents must be printed in their language; where their holidays are recognized, where their cultural traditions are honored, and ultimately, where their particular vision of government is exercised.

America has always welcomed immigrants who come here to become Americans. Immigrants who come here with no intention of becoming Americans or to become hyphenated Americans do not share our founders' belief system. Black nationalism rejects the founders' belief system, and curses the nation they created.

The seams of American society are further tested as Muslim immigrants re fuse to accept and integrate into American culture. Instead, Islam insists that America accept its veils, custom, and culture. America insists that government may not embrace any religion; this is a freedom retained exclusively by individuals. Islam, on the other hand, insists religion is the foundation of all government individuals are subservient to the state. This difference is irreconcilable and Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world.

Most of the population growth in America for the last several decades has come from immigration. Policies such as multiculturalism, bi-lingual education, open borders, and failure to insist that they learn English and Constitutional values and government structure and procedures have created a society that is a boiling pot ready to explode. The various factions pulling at the seams no longer agree with the original purpose and goals of our founders. They care more for their own goals than for the values this nation was created to defend.

Fortunately, one of those factions is a dedicated minority – at the moment - of people who are determined to defend the Constitution and the nation it created. Even now, these people are organizing as never before, drawing recruits from every quarter. They are enlisting candidates and teaching people how to carefully choose only those officials who demonstrate their belief in the values inscribed in our founding documents.

If America is to be saved, it can be done only by putting into office, at every level of government, only those people who, like our founding fathers, believe so firmly in the principles of freedom set forth by our founders, that they are willing to risk all, including their lives, to once again remove the dictatorial hand of government, and keep the nation free for every individual.

Legislation for Unions

The Politicians elected to represent the American people continue to ignore the will their constituents. Legislation for Card Check, which would allow labor to organize unions without secret ballots elections, is moving forward in Congress. The American people have expressed their opposition to this legislation but again their political agenda is more important than what is right for our country or the will of the people. I have included the following article for more information as a source on this issue.

The White House visitors log was just released and I found within the information something very interesting… Andy Stern, head of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) and a fierce advocate for the Employee 'Forced' Choice Act or EFCA has been spending quite a lot of time at the White House.
In fact, according to The Wall Street Journal, Stern has visited the White House at least 22 times in the last year alone making him one of its most frequent visitors. Apparently, despite the fact that the American people -- including union households -- oppose EFCA, union bosses continue to pressure government officials to move forward with this job-killing legislation.

And just today, Politico is reporting that the SEIU is targeting moderate Senators to vote in favor of cloture on health care. We know that a vote in favor of cloture or moving a bill forward is a vote in favor of the legislation.

This is the same tactic and strategy Big Labor will pursue with the Employee 'Forced' Choice Act, legislation that would eliminate the secret ballot and empower government bureaucrats to mandate contracts terms on employers and employees without their consent.

The only thing standing in the way of Andy Stern and his friends in organized labor is you. EFCA supporters on Capitol Hill know this legislation is a massive bailout to union bosses and will increase their power generating billions in additional revenue at the expense of our freedoms and jobs.

Please make sure your voices are heard and remind our elected officials, whether at the White House or in Congress that they answer to us, not labor bosses.

Endoresment of Capitalism

The economic system of early America, known as the American System, provided a system for growth and prosperity. High tariffs on imports protected American Industries from cheap foreign goods and promoted use of it’s own resources and to be self-sufficient. During this period the United States grew to be the worlds largest economy with the worlds highest standard of living. History reveals that no other economic philosophy would have accomplished what our forefathers envisioned, nor would any other system have been compatible with our Constitution. A capitalist system is the only system that will insure continued freedom and liberty to exist in America.

Conversation on Race

Sometimes we get frustrated on how to respond to being called a racist Country. I think a lot of Americans would agree with the way Pat Buchanan’s response in the following article.

Barack says we need to have a conversation about race in America.
Fair enough. But this time, it has to be a two-way conversation. White America needs to be heard from, not just lectured to.
This time, the Silent Majority needs to have its convictions, grievances and demands heard. And among them are these:
First, America has been the best country on earth for black folks. It was here that 600,000 black people, brought from Africa in slave ships, grew into a community of 40 million, were introduced to Christian salvation, and reached the greatest levels of freedom and prosperity blacks have ever known.
Wright ought to go down on his knees and thank God he is an American.
Second, no people anywhere has done more to lift up blacks than white Americans. Untold trillions have been spent since the '60s on welfare, food stamps, rent supplements, Section 8 housing, Pell grants, student loans, legal services, Medicaid, Earned Income Tax Credits and poverty programs designed to bring the African-American community into the mainstream.
Governments, businesses and colleges have engaged in discrimination against white folks - with affirmative action, contract set-asides and quotas -- to advance black applicants over white applicants.
Churches, foundations, civic groups, schools and individuals all over America have donated time and money to support soup kitchens, adult education, day care, retirement and nursing homes for blacks.
We hear the grievances. Where is the gratitude?
Barack talks about new “ladders of opportunity” for blacks.
Let him go to Altoona and Johnstown, and ask the white kids in Catholic schools how many were vsited lately by Ivy League recruiters handing out scholarships for “deserving” white kids.
Is white America really responsible for the fact that the crime and incarceration rates for African-Americans are seven times those of white America? Is it really white America’s fault that illegitimacy in the African-American community has hit 70 percent and the black dropout rate from high schools in some cities has reached 50 percent?
Is that the fault of white America or, first and foremost, a failure of the black community itself?
As for racism, its ugliest manifestation is in interracial crime, and especially interracial crimes of violence. Is Barack Obama aware that while white criminals choose black victims 3 percent of the time, black criminals choose white victims 45 percent of the time?
Is Barack aware that black-on-white rapes are 100 times more common than the reverse, that black-on-white robberies were 139 times as common in the first three years of this decade as the reverse?
We have all heard ad nauseam from the Rev. Al about Tawana Brawley, the Duke rape case and Jena. And all turned out to be hoaxes. But about the epidemic of black assaults on whites that are real, we hear nothing.
Sorry, Barack, some of us have heard it all before, about 40 years and 40 trillion tax dollars ago.
